Be more active this August

Together, with our local health and care partners, we have launched an exciting new campaign #movingcan.

#movingcan is an ambitious physical activity campaign designed in partnership with the Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System, the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Sustainability Transformation Partnership, as well as Get Berkshire Active (The County Sports Partnership for Berkshire) and various local authorities.

The campaign provides 31 ways throughout the 31 days of August that moving more can benefit you.

Doing regular physical activity can make you feel good about yourself and it can have a number of benefits for your health. For example, it reduces the risk of developing heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, some cancers, type 2 diabetes and 'thinning' of the bones (osteoporosis). Regular physical activity also helps to control weight and may help to ease stress.
