Momentum growing for Making Connections project

Our successes so far!
We are excited to inform you that the Making Connections project is now live in all Farnham GP practices and referrals are coming in fast!

Many of the individuals we have supported so far have already achieved their goals with the help of a coordinator, ranging from supported access to community facilities to day trips to museums – a real positive step!

Volunteers
We currently have 3 fabulous volunteers working in the Farnham area, however volunteers will always be needed especially as our service continues to grow, please see details below if you can spare a little time to support someone in your community.

Could we help you?
Are you someone or do you know someone who might benefit from this service who is over 50? If so, ask for a chat with any of the (practice) staff at your GP practice about Farnham Making Connections who will be able to refer you.

Farnham Making Connections might not be your average volunteering opportunity.

An exciting and diverse volunteering experience could lie ahead for you if you are able to give some time to someone in need.

This service matches individuals to volunteers based on their hobbies, what they like to do or what they need the most – so the possibilities could be endless. The support will be short term for each matched individual.

We are in need of volunteers to help support this service over the winter season.

If you could spare some of your time or know someone that’s got that special something that could brighten up the lives of people in Farnham, please get in contact on 01483 503414 or email lesley.power@ageuksurrey.org.uk.

We want to hear your feedback, so please fill out the form below.
