We are pleased to announce that an additional Covid-19 vaccination service will be opening at The Harlington in Fleet town centre, in the week commencing 15 February. The site will provide further choice for residents in Fleet who are registered with Branksomewood Healthcare Centre, Fleet Medical Centre and Richmond Surgery.
The majority of Fleet residents in the initial 4 priority groups have now had their first vaccinations (care home residents and staff, front line health and care workers, clinically vulnerable patients and the over 70s, over 75s and over 80s) and we remain on track to meet the government targets.
Thank you to everyone who has come forward to be vaccinated so far at the existing sites across the local area and to those who are booked to have their appointments this weekend. If you are still waiting for an invitation and you are over 70 you can now contact the national booking line or call 119 and book your slot. Please note that all second doses will be delivered at the same sites where people had their first vaccination.
The Harlington site will therefore offer a service for the next wave of patients starting with those aged over 65. Eligible patients will start being contacted by their GP practice this week to book slots for next week. Patients are also likely to receive a letter through the national booking service which gives them the ability to book a vaccination appointment at additional locations. Please wait to be contacted by the NHS with an invitation to book your appointment, do not contact your GP surgery directly.
Across the local area covered by North East Hampshire and Farnham CCG we now have an excellent provision of vaccination sites, with 5 GP led services and 1 pharmacy led service. We would like to thank everyone involved in helping to run these sites and for their continued dedication to helping to protect the local community.
